Mileage does not mean anything without you checking how much petrol you put in the tank. So, how much did you put in the tank? 5 gallon? 10 gallon? Or 14 gallon? And did you brim the tank ( could you see the petrol at the top of the filler, and was it at that level when you first started?

Not brim, first click of pump.

It was just over £72 at approx 1.18 litre. I did have all the figures but theyre in the car and...im not!

Newcastle to Porlock in somerset drove around over the wkend up Porlock hill & over to clovelly back to Newcastle Still had quater of a tank left when i got home

Hi.
34.6 tank to tank in a 2.5v6 auto, mixed driving. Can't be bad.
