Default Boom!

had a very eventful day today!!

Whilst say eating my McDonald's I left the car on Tickover (foolish I know)
I looks at my display and say 110oC, thought **** but the fan will kick in which it did. Then all I heard was bang! And it was like I scene from stars in there eyes !!

Turns out the new T peice I had fitted 3 months ago when I did the HG had given way on every end !! Engine runs sweet, not over pressuring, hose clamps not overtightend (standard clip lock ones) but yes it blew all three ends lol!!

Look at the attached pic !

Oh dear!!

There has got to have been either a fault in the plastic which weakened it.

The only good thing was that it let go while you were stationary, and with the knowledge to sort it.

slow speed fan should have cut in at 104C - check fan by using demist button - hose failing at weakest point can be due to fan fault.
