There is a Getrag gearbox in the Freelander, but they aren't interchangeable.
It doesn't have a differential as the Freelander has the front differential built in to the IRD gearbox that bolts onto the Getrag. There is also an extra switch fitted to signal first gear for the hill descent control, and looking at the rev counter at a steady 70mph, the gear ratios are slightly different. |

The plugs have integrated rubber seals in their flange. No need to replace them.
