Still here.
Where's that Marina driver gone?
Set me off down a road then disappeared.
Have had an offer from a member to send me a MAF sensor to try, (thanks Matchless), so will see what happens. (personally I don't think it's anything to do with the MAF).

You have part of the intake system compromised Mick, there will be a leak but I can't see your car from here......sorry

So disconnecting the EGR valve plastic gubbins making no change means the EGR valve is OK?
As for the intake system, the only place it can be "compromised" is after the air filter, yes?
Have had a very good look and all the push-on pipework is in place, so where does that leave me?
Will wait for the other MAF to arrive, but I seriously don't think that's the problem.

It only means it's ok if the valve is actually closing Mick, as you have an EGR bypass why not refit than in the meantime to see if it makes a difference

Waiting for a new bypass to arrive. Will stick it on and report back.
May be a while cos I'm coming over to the UK to collect another car. It's a long round trip.........
