I wondered who'd got it. I was first to phone, but couldn't get up on time, because I was at uni. Bargain at £250 for a car that just needs an ECU. I didn't want to buy prior to sorting out transport for it.

Good luck with the project.

Have to agree Garry, this forum is a great help with some very decent people - sorted a gearbox problem recently with advice from members on here

I'd say most faults/problems are covered somewhere ! Good luck with yours

I must admit I was a bit impulsive and told him I was buying it if he held it until I could get through to pay him for it. He had no computer or Pay pal account so Going through was the only way to pay for it. It was his friend that put it on Gumtree for him. It was the auto electrician's quote of over a £1000 to repair it, if he could source the part that made him put it up for sale as spares.

Been on bike forums and others, but nowhere as good as this one, so much help and advice from the members, best £10 I've ever spent.
Amazing the amount of time members have spent detailing how to repair and mod things, then posting a how to in pictures, where else would you get this information for £10 a year, fantastic!!

Thanks Brian, Duncan is going to have a look at it for me, so keeping my fingers crossed it can be fixed. I will see you at Broughty Ferry to get my own cdti tuned, and if Duncan can fix this one, which is for my wife I will be up with the 2 of them to get tuned.

If Duncan sends me the ECM for repair I'll upgrade it to 160 for you while I have it Garry

Then you need only come in one car if you wish

Hi Brian, that's great. I will ask Dunc when I get the car delivered to him if he can send it down to you if it needs repaired. Would save bringing 2 cars to Broughty. Hoping to get the car to him this week
Thanks again.

Ah! well, I'm sure I could overcome that, thanks for the help and will get back to you if I'm struggling, at the moment just waiting for a friend of Duncan to see if he can do it.
