A couple of years ago the back box on LJW rusted out. An OEM was not available at under £563, so I had an after market one fitted for £120. I had to take it back as more welding was needed to make it fit properly and not rattle. 2 years on it is still good, even though it is not OEM. I admire you for wanting the best. Fraser has made an excellent suggestion

I have recently fitted a stainless system to my ZT, so the centre section from the cat back is stored in work's warehouse.
Its got a little surface rust, but does not blow atall. Will chuck in the chrome tail pipes too. IIRC, the saloon systems (except for the diesel) 1.8, 2.0V6 and 2.5V6 are all identical from the cat back. just different manifolds between the 4cyl and V6 of course, but they meet in the same place under the car. Only issue i can see, is it is ****** heavy, and located here in Colchester, Essex. Also, it has been cut with a chain cutter to allow my stainless to sleeve over, so you'd need an 'Expand-a-clamp' or exhaust sleeve to fit it. yours for free if you need it pal. edit: Really, the forum filters out Blo*dy ?? :P Last edited by FezzyFox; 18th March 2014 at 14:54.. |
