![]() All the titles in my photo and video files have vanished!
I use the thumbnail format in the folders, and always add some sort of title such as "Etherow May 2011" or "Tom **** and Harry" etc. But now the titles only show if I hover my cursor over them?? I have tried System restore, but that comes up saying "restoration incomplete" and changes nothing... ![]() Does anyone know how to restore the file title names please? ![]() ... ![]() I presume this query is for your car-puter, James?!?
Right clik in your window (explorer window, not car windows) select view which gives a list of view options at the bottom of the list is a tik/ untik option of 'Hide file names' Otherwise, your PC may need a T4 session. -a |

![]() Try this ....Right click on blank space around the thumbnails...properties ...advanced properties...lots of dropdown boxes ...irc file properties and choose show / hide file names checkbox.worth a look..hopefully this will work.it was dictated by daughters boyfriend who was trying to recall how it worked on his previous computer..best I can do i'm afraid.good luck..UPDATED ...read the original query wrong....try this:
Open the folder with the thumbnail view applied to it, then hold shift and click on view (where you would change the view from thumbnail to list, details etc.) and select Details. Then, the file names should appear. Then hold shift and click view again and select Thumbnails, this should show thumbnails and the file names.
