I think for the money they are fine. I sat in one at Saloon Day and yes the plastics were a bit hard but then sub £10k that's reasonable.

MG3 will definitely be worth a punt when they are 3 years old but for now "I'm out".

With the right advertising to the under 25 age group banging on about the cheap insurance and options to indervidualise the car, this could sell well, and I hope it does too. I think it also needs a small diesel for the economy conscious over 50s, and a hot version - maybe that unit from the MG6 or the current MG3 engine with a turbo.
As an aside I went for a test drive in a petrol 6 today. Not nearly as bad as some people would have you think. Seriously tempted, but having a hard time justifying to myself having 3 cars on my drive...

My MG 6 is very well screwed together. very well specked. Plastics are on par with most cars. parts are european (valeo, bosch) and It's made by MG. and is not a rebadged rover

Anyone know the tax band of it? when all the other companies are making smaller refined engines to meet emissions laws i think they might shoot themselves in the foot only offering a 1.5L engine in a car that size

£125 a year, a bit expensive and that will only go up, same as the old shape Fiesta.

Same here. Although I do miss my ZT 190 for its lovely engine and classic looks, I don't miss its fuel consumption. I was comparing the 6 to a colleagues Mondeo. The Ford was far more expensive, but less well equiped.I think that its dash plastic was marginally better, but visability was far worse. Overall I am very satisfied with the quality and value of the MG6.

What Car hated and slated the 6 as well. I haven't sat in one but I've seen a couple on the road and they look nice imo. I'm just not ready to part from the ZT.
