Default transmission trouble

leylanddaf here have changed trans oil, and have followed guide, the car bites in all gears but starts reving up after a half mile or so and wont travel any further,

You don't say it is an Auto but i'm assuming it is.

If you have the correct oil level & used the correct oil (both are very specific to the Jatco Autobox) It sounds very much like you may have a Reverse Piston problem !

They tend to fracture which causes loss of drive.

It may be an idea to check the resistance on the Solenoids (9 of them) & there is a guide on here for checking at the external connector plug.
