Mr pin & 61707
These were a couple of private plates I saw the other day that didn't look right
Should the first have been "MRP 1N"? - I don't think that the letter "I" is used on reg plates, and as the number "1" doesn't have a nose or foot on reg plates I guess that is what that was?? The latter one is odd, I think that is what then umber was, definitely 5 digits all together, no letters, on a silver on black plate, which I thought couldn't be used on cars registered after 1st Jan 1973.... this was on a new-ish sporty Clio. Later in the day I saw another that looked the same, just one long number in silver on black Can anybody explain? Ta, Bolin. |

Our local constabulary have just announced a week long clamp down on such plates - threatening on the spot fines etc.
The question I would like an answer to is: Do ALL these plates (and you do see 100s on the roads) get temporarily replaced for the MOT - or are testing stations turning a blind eye

Guernsey plates consist of up to five digits, with no letters. Plates may be either silver on a black background, or black on the white/yellow backgrounds as in the UK. An oval containing the letters 'GBG' (Great Britain - Guernsey), the island's international vehicle registration, is sometimes included. Plates with lower numbers are of a higher value.

Cheers guys, so it was a mis-gapped private plate and 2 Guernsey cars.
What was the chance of seeing TWO Guernsey plates in different places on the same day when I had NEVER seen one before at all? Odd one that |
