![]() Hi all just a bit of advice read some posts on where the coolant level should be at, as the tank isn't very clear to look through see people say the level should be below the fins in the expansion tank? Mines a 2litre v6 and always had it topped level with the fins which is level with the seam on the tank and tracing that round to the min and max marks seems to be over the max level? Didn't no if that would cause any harm always stays at that point and hardly ever have to top her up? Any advice will be really appreciated.

![]() The level is actually at the bottom of the fins but mine too is towards the top, don't worry it will cause no harm.

![]() Fill to the Max tab viewed inside the tank, any excess is usually forced out of the cap anyway.
Check the level with a cold engine to define the correct state. |

![]() The other way to check the level is to shine a light on the MAX and MIN markers on the end of the tank closest to the passenger side. No need to remove the cap then, so the cap seals will last longer.
