Retro-fitting rain sensors
On the way home today I noticed a crack on the windscreen which grew literally as I drove! Obviously the screen needs to be replaced so I've booked it in through my insurance who asked me if it has a rain sensor, which got me thinking! Is it possible / easy / cheap to retro-fit one? I dare say I could call the insurance company back and say it does have one so that sorts the screen out, but is a 2003 ZT likely to have the wiring in place or would it have been project drive'd'?

Have a look behind the interior light for the wiring plug. If not there, you have to run it down to the connector at the base of the A pillar.
You will also need the ZCS codes changed by one of the T4 experts. |

When you look behind the light, have a really good look! A couple I've done have been glued (with a lot of glue) with the other cables over the top giving the illusion it's no there. The connectors have been chocka with glue which means you have to pick it out but still perfectly usable! If you just had a quick passing look and feel you'd not find it.
