I'm just picturing your boss telling you that you can't stop for the day until you've got the tractor up to 70mph to rest the stopping distance at motorway speeds!

Now what this actually says is even if it weighed 10kilos' its a mod that makes the car more of a family friendly car so that when the less family freindly mods can be afforded...theres a little more balance

That said in all honesty, I was surprised by the very poor quality of them, and the simplicity, as Nic has explained above the reasons why...I was jsut certain there would be a comfy rover upgrade there somewhere

Re the added weight, when you weigh as much as me the lights and flap on a sunvisor don't really register

I think I'll have to invest in a "sharon'n'Trace" strip too ...just need to look into the posabilities (without the sharon'n'Trace)

and find myself with diagrams of how to strip everything out somehow

Cheers for the replies

edit:- would it eb fair to assume my headllining and visors would be light charcoal?? i have an otherwise black/dark leatehr interior...?

Nick

It's funny you should sat that as earlier on this year I did actually test a "tractor" that can do 70 mph! It's a bit hairy I'll tell you as you stand on the brakes to do the stops especially when you're up at 12 tonne and there's no suspension to speak of other than what the tyres give you!

the even odder thing is that it will do exactly the same speed BACKWARDS if you take the limiter off the gearbox!

Not bad for nearly £100k's worth of kit!

The ones in My Rover seem fine, well padded & Illuminated mirrors with covers (both sides). Still no where as good as my old Granada Cosworth though, which also has a centre one behind mirror to catch any missing areas, now that is cool & useful.
