Rover Garage near Cambridge City center
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good garage where I can take my Rover 75 to, near or around Cambridge City center, I live in Histon, 5 miles to the north of Cambridge city center. Thank you |

I have been very impressed with the MGOC workshop at Swavesey. They have done a few jobs on my ZTT and I have been impressed with their knowledge and quality of work. They also have the diagnostics equipment. Not the cheapest around though. The workshop is adjacent to a guided busway stop which will get you back to the city centre in 15 mins (Histon in 7 or 8 mins)

Not a Rover garage, just a local one, but for the odd job I don't fancy doing I use Chatteris Garage, in the centre of Chatteris town. I was taught mechanics by my Grandad, & never put a car into a garage (nor had a good word to say about any) until about 10 years ago. I then had a potential problem changing the front exhaust pipe on a Rover 827 - done it before, had studs seize & break - so put it into Ivan. Great job, good price, and always helpful. In fact only today he has freed off the big nut on the end of the driveshaft, foc, as I couldn't do it.

Hi there,
I woudn't hesitate to recommend Barry Mantell at Swedish Car Connection http://swedishcarconnection.co.uk/ 120 Church End Business Park Cherry Hinton Cambridge CB1 3LB. 07736 237891 He doesn't just work on Swedish cars and has been very reliable and competitive in the past for me with Jaguars and Maestros. What work do you need to have done? |

Thanks for your help.
Drivers door wont open with manual Key, fine with key fob(looks a tricky job) Twice I have not been able to select a gear, but can when engine is off. Is Ok at the moment. slave cylinder, master cylinder? Looking into why my reverse lights are not working.(some useful info on this site) have problems with the rear parking sensors to, but only after bumber was half ripped off by a uninsured speeder. Thats about it. |
