I took advantage of the high temperature and did exactly the same.

Finally sorted the dislodged roof drain in my ZT 190, vacuumed up the few gallons of water in the foot wells (drivers side) then cleaned up the mould and made the interior look new. Then took it to local handwash people who made it look shiny.
Then diagnosed the misfire to a dead coil pack (see separate post in wanted section). Also took a used drivers side side impact sensor from local scrappie to fix one that was drowned due to roof drains.

over the past few days I have had 3 basic tasks,
fit second hand fog lights to the front, fit second hand black leather seats (to replace fabric), fit front/rear parking sensors. the front and rear bumpers have been removed, wax oyl inside the chassis and paint with red oxide primer to add an extra layer of protection, interior stripped out and cleaned ready for new seats, fog light switch fitted in dash (OEM) started wiring in the parking sensors, replacement Shannon tube bought from ebay I have also noticed my NEW clutch master cylinder is leaking so a new cast ally one will be bought from discount MG Rover spares I also need to adjust the handbrake mechanism there is also the small task of improving the rear window seal (as it leaks) the vehicle will be topped off with a 75/ZT club badge on the front grille along with a 1960's period AA badge! before the MOT in May I need to work out why I have no airbag warning light at all! quite a bit to do! these cars really do need to be preserved for our motoring heritage, people who say Rover 75's are terrible cars, have never driven one! |

Looked in disbelief at the broken front spring.
So I shall make it four new springs rather than two, anybody want a ZT before it goes on eBay? I really hate these cars, for a flagship model the build quality is dire So on the drive it stays, and new springs ordered tomorrow |
