Do you need to remove the whole bumper or just the grill to replace the series resistor on the pre-facelift ?

Just the grill. Then you can either work through the fanblades (not easy) or disconnect the fan from the motor (it's a bayonet style fit) and it will be ablle to drop just clear enough to make the job easy. Don't forget to disconnect the battery, the wires to the fan are permanent live!

Is there a circuit diagram of the fan & relays for the 2 speed diesel fan ?
I'm somewhat interested in fitting a PWM speed controller, now that 110A MOSFETs are 10/£1.30 !!!! Anybody prepared to discuss this ? |
