MGR spec the same battery for all models inc V8.
Mines got a bosch in currently, but I would buy a premium brand there's a thread on 260's about this very subject with a few suggestions

I went for the Bosch S5 Battery 100 (74Ah). Under £80 with a discount on Car parts for less (rather than the sister site Euro Car Parts, where its more like £120)
