How to fix 1.8turbo Catalyst Rattle?
Almost overnight my 2004 Connoisseur (16,000 miles) has changed from a silent running dream to a rattling embarassment. It sounds like the dreaded catalyst rattle to me. I haven't been under to investigate, but from the driving seat with the door open, the rattle emanates from the right place. Could be loose baffles in the front box I guess, but isn't catalyst rattle more likely?
I've seen the diagram (where?) for welding the detached V6 cat, but is there a similar fix for the 1.8turbo? TC |
