Default Very Wet In Boot

Opened up the boot today of my 75 and found the carpet wet through in the area covering the spare wheel. I lifted up the carpet and found the hardboard backing had a great patch of damp and wet on it.

There is no sign of damp or wet on the material on the underside of the boot lid although there were globules of condensation on the bare metal of the lid.

Any ideas folks?
