Default Rover 75 forces house sale.......

.......well at least a remortgage.

My long suffering but lovely wife as been using the 75 for the past couple of months while we look for a second car to replace her MG ZR. Despite my weekly checks for water loss and mayo (no loss and no mayo) the head gasket gave out the day before her service and brake pad replacement

While the engine is apart I'm having the cam belt, water pump and power steering belt replaced.

I had a look at the head gasket and all I can say is what an awful design!!!! I'm having the multi layer type to replace it so hopefully she will be good for another 60000 miles (I'm also redoubling my efforts to find Sue a car).

I reckon I'm in for a good sized bill but I would rather pay that than try and find a car in as good a condition as my 75, that is as well equipped and as comfortable to drive

I will let you all know the final bill..........if I can still afford my Internet connection..........
