Anyway, I ordered a compatible CIS from 'falkonstore' in Hong Kong (eBay) for £25 +p&p on Sat 27 Sept. It arrived on Tuesday 30th Sept.
It contains 4 Cartridges that have reset chips i.e. do not show 'life' to the system, each cartridge is full and the refillable reservoirs hold about 100ml each. As said above all at about 10% of original cartridge costs and cheaper proportionally all the time.
I only wish I had done this years ago, all I can say is that if in doubt – go for it…
