The rules I followed are;
Don't let the car idle for prolonged periods when cold, this also wears the engine prematurely. Bring the car up to speed progressively and don't labour the engine trying to reach top gear to soon. Avoid heavy braking, and don't carry around unessesary weight on board. Keep an eye on those tyre pressures. Oh and a well maintained engine, regularly serviced will give best fuel returns. |
