Default Can someone please help

Ok so I've had my ZT 190 for a couple of weeks now and have a couple of questions please bear in mind I have never owned a v6 before.

1St of all it's quite loud when started in the morning with the auto choke on I think the bearings in the alternator might need greasing but is this normal.

Also it's quite slow upto about 4k then it goes like a rocket does this mean one of the vis motors has packed up or is this normal reason for asking I give it a blast from a round a bout and I can only catch up with standard cars when it hits the 4k but doing this all the time wastes no end of fuel.

Any idea's? I've still got to give the engine a good going over with changing the oil and changing plugs ect ect.

Sounds like you have a slipping aux belt, the car should be pretty quiet.

Wouldn't like to comment on the alternator noise without hearing it.

If you are coming to Cosford plenty of vis testers will be there.
If not you could get hold of the club vis test box.

Repair is possible if found to be faulty either by following the repair how-to or if not technically minded then myself or Stocktake could possibly repair them for you.

Don't think I'm going to get to the cosford meet but I'm in the queue for the club tester.

That would be excellent if I have got faulty ones I'm going to fit some catch tanks at the end of the month so if these turn out to be faulty I'll be in touch just out of interested how much do you charge to repair them and how long does it take as we only have one car so can't really be without it running for longer than a weekend really.
