Ever since I've owned the ZTT the door trim has been making a creaking noise which has gradually got worse and has really bugged me.
I've replaced all the door clips and even used mastic which worked for a couple of weeks. The creaking is coming from the card itself where the component parts are joined. Today, to cap it all ,when working on it yet again, it fell on the drive and got scuffed! |

AHH
One thing i found with my old car was that the door card squeaked, but this was down to me taking it off so many times, I sorted it by useing door draft stopper from B&Q sticking it around the full insde edge of the door card where it sat against the metal door, Also i got a hot qlue gun and glued all the inside aresa around the front window air vents, As there is a lot of movement of plastic parts. But on my new 75 the door cards are much better made, So have not had to take them off at all! |

Also the more you take the door cards of the weaker they get,
On the top edge where the metal spikes dig into the door card, after a while of on/off they eat away at the door card and then they dont work, so the top edge just becomes lose, |

Sounds very familiar...glue gun, insulation, felt, mastic - no wonder my fuel consumption went up!
Seriously - this noise could end up putting me in a home |

How much are these door cards anyway? (Assuming they're still available from Rimmers etc).
