Default 75 leaking diesel

My 75 cdti seems to be leaking diesel somewhere. Diesel smells strongly and there are drops of it on the underside of the box but I can't find exactly where it is coming from. Is this perhaps a common fault? Could this have some connection with the engine running problems? There is no low rev power and turbo comes on very late.

Box, what 'box' ?

A common leakage point is the pipework around the fuel cooler, behind the right rear wheel.

Others are from leak back pipes along the tops of the injectors. I have also heard of leaks from the under bonnet pump.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

A high possibility - The HP pump is underneath the alternator (front of engine on the right side of the car (uk driver's side). Common issue is for one or more of the three pump head caps to leak. Seals can be replaced but it's not a job for the inexperienced.

Sorry, I meant gearbox. It drops from the lowest spot on the gearbox and it is definitely diesel oil, not engine oil.

Clutch and brake fluid is quite similar to diesel, might it be a clutch fluid leak from the slave cylinder. It will appear at the bottom, the joint between engine and gearbox.
