Default 32Gb SD Card For Music - Best Structure?

I have a load of CDs, that I have collected over the years, and I am planning on converting them to MP3 files and putting them on the SD card to play on the DD unit.

I remember reading somewhere that the unit prefers to have the files placed in separate folders, when running on a 32Gb card.

What is the best file structure to use?
Is it one per album, or do you put lots of albums in one directory?

Thanks guys, I haven't really got a clue.

I put six folders on mine. each of which contains 20 tracks.

They will hold up to 99 tracks per folder, but I prob wouldn't live long enuff to play that many.. lol...

Each folder and track must be numbered starting with 01 02 03 etc...

Any faults on a track will stop that folder working...

Thanks Bob.
I will give it a go, with up to 99 tracks in a folder.

I have got the first 50 odd CDs loaded up in the car, ready for a busy day at the office tomorrow.

Hi Bob,
My old Mgr double din worked fine with a 32gb card formatted in fat32 and with the albums just copied and pasted into the body of the card.
Not sure whether it's the same for everyone but worked fine for me

This is not really working out, either.
I have put about 50 albums on the SD card, (formatted FAT32), but when I put it in the DD unit, it only displays the first 6, or so.

Is it something to do with the capacity, and is it worth trying a 16Gb card?

Unless anyone has any other ideas, it looks like I am destined to only be able to listen to about 6 CDs, on an SD card, with a capacity of hundreds and hundreds.

At least the mini SD card is smaller than the CD player that took up the whole glove box.

Hi Bob,

If you want to send the card to me I can try it in another unit and see if it works and if not check what's going on with it

Bob
This may have to due with the class of the CD Card too.

What Class is it ? 2, 4 , 6 , 10?

You can see it on the front of the card
