Kv6 thermostat hose size
Having problems with age related hose issues. I am looking to repair the small hose which exits the thermostat on the KV6. I need to replace a section and need to know the internal bore diameter of the hose . It is the smaller of the two pipes on the thermostat on the bottom right hand side. I do not have an old plastic stat to measure the size and not really wishing to strip mine off the car !! Could someone give me the size of the hose bore , or measure the plastic outside diameter of the pipe on the stat (including the lip at the tip ) It is the smaller one of the two that sit together . Very much appreciated if anyone could assist ......

Yes thats the one dave. Mine is laminating , and beginning to balloon in places. Tried to cut it back and try again , but there is little too hold as the webbing inside weakens . The end does not now have a decent strength clamping point to hold. I am thinking of the silicon version, to make a repair ,but i have only seen it used on vacuum hoses, so not sure about temperature resilience for this job.

Dave , can i ask you which hose you are referring to on rimmers diagram for kv6 hoses please. Is it item 7 or item 8 that you replaced ? Mine that needs replacing is the one that clamps directly to the small bore on the thermostat itself.I find the drawings can be somewhat misleading as some do not state the connection routes from and to in the description. thanks ...
