Watched this on My5 catch up facility, a great story. Obviously lots of Spitfires were built in car plants in the midlands (Castle Bromwich springs to mind), and local to me here in Bolton at nearby Darwen they celebrate their involvement. It was amazing the folks in Salisbury didn't know over 2000 Spitfires were built amongst them.

I loved the bit near the end where the Spitfire and Typhoon were flying together.
Also interesting when the Typhoon pilot said he'd never shed a tear in a jet cockpit but he had in a Spitfire
