Default How bad is this

After been very happy to have my 75 back
see my thread : http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=38816

I've got new problems

Still have to try to get my bonnet open and now I saw this:

a damaged "plastic" plenumcover beneath the windshield
Is this a major problem or an easy replacing item?
Any ideas how to handle with this?

Think I will change my name in "unluckybutstillarover75owner"

Thats a shame..

Luckily this is an easily replaceable item and could be replaced in about 10 mins.

Good luck getting a new one, I broke my Plenum Scuttle about 2 years ago, I phoned Rimmer Bros and they had 2 in stock.

They would not send it, I had to collect it.

Sorry...

Is this something to do with the work you had done?

I think it has to do with the problems i have with the bonnet.
I can't open it. Tried the way given me by Grey Ghost, but no luck.
Had some help but I think they forced to much.
I will contact my garage tomorrow (Rover specialist) and think he's not happy to hear this. Problem is I have to drive 200 km to go to my garage because with the experiences I had with the local garages its the only garage I trust now to work on my 75. Hopefully he has a replacement for me. If not I will look at some scrap yards like Steven did.
Need to check the liquids because of the "new" engine.

Rob Wijnstok gave me also a couple of adresses, so thumbs up (again)

Time to get my luck back

Is the release lever inside the car slack or does it still feel springy as it should?

Eric - I had the same problem and almost gave up trying to implement Grey Ghost's written remedy - but persevere and try again. It DOES work. I thought my hand was too big etc etc but it turned out I was not working in quite the right place. You may need to go fishing in a slightly different area - or get a small handed assistant to try for you. But one good yank as they say, and it popped up!

I'd just get one from a scrappy. The local scrap yard would probably want about £10 for it knowing the way they price these things.

Default Bonnet is open

Today I've tried again to open the bonnet, and guess what..........

It's open now
Not a broken cable but the cablebox has come off.
Also my garage phoned me this morning telling me that they have a Plenum Scuttle for me.
So I am lucky again

thanx for the replies
