Premium V8 Grill
My CDT Connoisseur SE Tourer came with the factory fitted premium front grille and bumper. A £1,063.83 option !!!!.
I had my little yaris reversed into by a large 4x4 in a car park (sorry mate I didn't know I did that) and seen the damage a tow ball can do to a bumper, I live with the thought that the v8 grill is also vunrable. I have tried to order a spare set of grille panels, I already have two spare skins. But I am told they are no longer available. Does anyone know if there is a secret stock of them anywhere ? failing that is the grill used by the Chinese the same, or have they changed the fixings ? Is it available in China at the dealers as a spare part ? If so is any one going to China with a large suitcase ? Or can the Club have a word with the nice chaps at NAC or SAIC about supplying spare set via the club or direct to existing owners ? Any ideas folks. A 260 one day, one day. |

Parts are rarer than Rocking Horse Dropings I'm afraid.
EBay is around your only source when they do show up but go for Hundreds of Pounds. I am waiting myself for the Chrome Surround, no longer available, and so is Kandyman for one of his. No news on, if and When NAC might use them, nothing yet. |

I have the bare bumper "in primer" so to speak, the top fixing bracket, the air deflector, the four grille pieces and the V8 Rover badge which was to be the "big project" but I never got hold of the grille surround so it has languished for months and now abandoned.
The grille pieces were very expensive, are those the bits you are looking for? |

I wish. but thanks.
I only require the Chrome Trim surround for main Grill. I've been threatening to pinch Kandyman's as he hasn't fitted it! |

Sorry, the post was for nickdv. There was a time when I wished I knew where Kandyman lived and the times his house was empty
I think I'll put them in the sale forum so if anyone ever needs any of those parts they know where to get them. |

Oops, should have read his Woe first.
I was still responding re an earlier one, sorry. I know where he lives and he has two Grills, but the security systems fitted are to strong. Couldn't even consider such a thing, could I |

I recently had a close look at a photo of one of the NAC premium bumpers. It appears that they have a completely different chrome surround on their bumper. In fact, the top of the surround appears to be a separate section, and could be part of the chrome from the bootlid!
