Gone but never forgotten
It is with great regret that I have to inform you that I am no longer the proud owner of my much loved Rover 75.
Having spent a final evening tenderly bathing it in lovely warm shampoo suds and gently drying , she had her final photo shoot Putting it up on eBay almost brought a tear to my eye........ right up until 2 hrs later I received an offer that I could not refuse.......”I’ll be there in the morning with cash!” 😄😄💰💰💰 It was just what he was looking for and bought it without even a test drive👌 So that’s the end of the Rover 75 , that I have owned for a quarter of my life 👍🍺🍺👍 |

I hope you told the new owner about the club, stick around, you don't need a car to enjoy the banter on here.

I'm more an avid reader than a poster, but yes I'll stick around.... Reading the daily new posts has become a habit!
I really can't thank the members of the forum for all of the help I have received either directly or through reading the how to's and other posts. Without the forums helped I would not have tackled replacing all the springs and shocks, top mounts, Front suspension rear mounts , handbrake mods, and the dreaded alternator replacement and injector fuel pump replacement ( big thanks to arctic for some great how todos and encouragement via pm,s. ...not forgetting the endless drop links!! Cheers H |

I agree with you there..... Thought I'd keep an eye out for my 75 with a thought of buying it back in the future ....... But not at that price !

I've got my little trophy blue MGTF 135 as a toy (and to keep my hand in on the spanners) The new company car is due in a couple of weeks.... BMW 330e msport..... Yes I know it's one of them NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- hybrid things, but the benifit in kind tax on anything else is a killer! That's the only reason my Rover 75 had to go.....☹️ |

I’d second that. My last ZT sold to a guy who told me this and that but it turns out he was a trader. Was up for sale the same day on his forecourt for a thousand more. Even pinched my advert literally word for word!

Ive no problem with anyone turning a few quid and I was more than happy with the no hassle cash that he paid without even driving the car....he said up front he was a trader looking for a decent 1 owner diesel.
I know they are worth what people are willing to pay .....Worth £1750?.. Looking around I'd say condition maybe, mileage and spec....maybe not. I'd like to have it back in the future but not at that price! |
