Volvo V70 2.5 TDi Phase 2 *SOLD*
With regret, due to an impending house move, my girlfriend's beloved V70 2.5 TDI Phase Two is now for sale. She's got a 75 to replace it, so this is now for sale.
It took me months to find an example of this calibre, as I wanted the early diesel engine from the phase 1, but prefer the phase 2 as a package. This example has had just two owners prior to me, husband and wife, who babied the car, and as such, I bought it as soon as it appeared, and have not been disappointed. The car is finished in the very smart hue of Silver Metallic, with 17” Amalthea wheels. The interior is Off-Black leather, complimented with walnut trim. The paintwork of the car is really quite superb, particularly given the age of the car. It has no parking scrapes, and just a few very small marks consummate with age. The car belies its age, and people often comment on how well kept it is. Throughout my ownership, the car has been meticulously cleaned, on a weekly basis. It has never had a towbar fitted. The wheels are in excellent order, and have just light kerbing. Far better than most I’ve seen. Overall, it looks brilliant. The interior is in lovely order, and has never carried a dog, nor been smoked in. Original thick Volvo mats in place, and the carpets are unmarked. Some light wear, here and there, but overall, it’s lovely. Genuine Volvo rubber load liner too. Leather is treated with gliptone, on a monthly basis, and it is the cleanest V70 I viewed, of many, prior to purchase. Mechanically, it has the fantastic 2.5 TDI engine (pre-D5), and thus is very easy to maintain, being far more DIY friendly. The car has got excellent service history, having been dealer/Volvo specialist maintained for most of its life. It runs very well indeed, and drives keenly. The engine is smooth, and the gearbox seems fine. Clutch bites where it should, and there aren’t many issues, overall. It does have a slight wobble under braking, which I haven’t had a chance to look into, as yet. Never uses oil or coolant, and has been impeccably reliable throughout my ownership. Very economical too, averaging around 45 mpg, in my ownership, with far more possible on a long run. In my ownership the car has had two genuine new Volvo rear shock absorbers fitted, which really freshen up the drive. The car has done 169,000 miles, at the time of writing, though this will increase, due to the fact that the car is in daily use. It is MOT’d until February 2016. The car is located near Egremont, in Cumbria, and I welcome viewings, and any questions. Due to the car’s exceptional condition, and the fact that is has the, to my mind, excellent 2.5 TDI, I am looking for £1595 ONO. I shall be very sad when the car goes, but alas, circumstances dictate that it must be sold. I have the V5 in my name, and all handbooks.

Worth every penny, I have a friend who used two of these exact models to carry aircrew between airports, very comfortable cruisers and at the time if selling both had way over 500k miles on original engines, simple servicing and they go on forever, a very underestimated car. Whoever buys this car will be so pleased with it.
Good luck. 😀 |

In answer to PMs that I have received, the car has got full leather, cruise control, heated front seats, four electric windows, and a truly spectacular sound system. The car has never been smoked in, nor has it ever carried a dog. It's the cleanest estate car that I have ever seen. We will include a genuine Volvo boot liner too.
Happy for the car to be viewed by anyone, and any questions or independent inspections welcomed.
