I have just had a DD Sony Radio purchased for me, I to have a little difficulty in radio reception, however I bought one of these to fit

With reference to the reasons for the problem which I described in post no. 5, the solution is to fit a 3 FM element diversity rear screen (CQB 102011 or 000220 depending upon VIN) and the matching 'amplifier' (XUC 100751) which can switch between the elements as required. Fitting a different radio which does not use the diversity system would be another impractical solution.

If the OP was experiencing interference when the HRW is used I would agree, but he says reception is poor which points to the diversity system.
