Default Lack of power issues on diesels

What's the usual culprits just to make sure I have covered them all.

I believed the car was a 115 until last year when a spell on the T4 showed it as being a 135 but the car is no where near as quick as my 135.

I've change a few bits between cars & from a donor car but still can't get to the bottom of it.

Maf is reasonably new but whether plug in or not isn't making much difference.
High pressure pump filter has been changed as has the fuel rail sensor but again not really helping.

I'm for one last try to get to the bottom of it so looking for hints & tips?

I think you need a new Bosch MAF.

It's a genuine Bosch that's fitted only about 8 months old.

I would get it checked on a T4 Get the injector balance checked on the T4 at the same time, you may have an injector issue.7

Run some good injector cleaner through your system.

Have you looked at intercooler O rings, Intercooler pipes & joints for splits, etc.

Check out your PCV filter to see if its blocked. When was the air filter last changed?

There is probably plenty more but someone will no doubt add to my list very soon.........

Dave

Was on the T4 last year all that showed up was a duff maf whaich has been changed,

Everything you listed has been done.

Its strange gently accelarating works better than flooring it yet on mine floor it & it takes off,

It feels like a restriction of some sort I'm off for a week so may have another swap around of some parts again.

Well if you end up finding what the problem is, could you please post your results as I have very similar problems!
Cheers

Hi Wullie480, do think that the "Cat" could be choked up.

Replacing it with piece of tubing would prove this, and if it did not cure the problem, the engine would still run better without the Cat.

Cheers, Pete.

I should add car has been decated & stainless exhaust fitted.

One thing I do notice between them is the wife's engine brakes a lot more then mine.
Not sure if that helps any diagnosis?

I may just have to live with it or get rid & buy another.
