Default water pump needs replaced

hey guys need some help here, i was loosing coolant and took car to my mechanic and he says its my water pump? anyone ever had one replaced ? how long did it take and what sort of cost was it....

Yep. Book time was over 3 hours but as i had never done it on this engine before took a bit longer than that.

If it hasn't been done before then the gasket is connected to the other gaskets on that side of the engine by a couple of tabs. These need cutting - I used a stanley knife but it took a few strokes to get through them.
