Default Bah humbug!

North Wales Police have confirmed they were called out to Llandudno Shopping centre after complaints were received that school children were singing Christmas carols too loud.

Ian Jones, head teacher of Ysgol San Sior, said 29 pupils from the Ysgol choir were singing at Llandudno's Victoria centre when security staff approached them.

Mr Jones described the request to stop or sing more quietly as "ridiculous".

They continued and the police were called to break up the disturbance.

The Victoria Centre Management apologised for the "Upset" and said the situation could have been handled better but in future carols would only be played through the centres PA System.

What is this World we live in coming to.
The poor children must have been scared out of their wits with several Police Officers moving them all and Teachers out!!

Absolutely pathetic, poor kids.

Maybe they should've sang Silent Night.

Anyway, I didn't know you celebated Christmas in Wales. I though you still all got half naked, painted in woad and ran around the countryside hitting each other with sticks. You'll be telling us you've got electricity next.

I was furious,
How can anyone complain?
It was the proper Ysgol (School) Choir.

Now, I worked in a shopping center, and we did experience a similar problem a number of years back, as the PA system was indeed too loud, but at least we managed to get it turned down without causing offence. After all, nobody wants to hear any music (no matter what type) if the speakers that are blasting it down the hall are being driven that hard the sound is distorted. Not saying that was the case here, but anything is possible.

I agree it is a bit OTT.

As an aside, does anyone else not think it is a wee bit early for Christmas carols?

But guess what. No Police turned up just a solitary PCSO...................they often look more nervous than the public imo.
