Default 75's at the Auctions

Tonight I had fun working at teh Auction, I got to Drive 3 Rover 75's through.

05 Plated CDTi Conn SE (not sure what colour sort of like nightfire red) - £2,250
03 Plated 1.8T Club - £500 (White Gold)
x Reg 2.0 V6 Classic SE - £400 (Dark Blue)
02 Plated CDT (I think this was a Connoisseur SE spec leather seats wood / leather wheel etc) Auto (Seafrost Blue) - £1300 (I didnt drive this one)

Note the differences between Petrol and Diesel. All 4 where Mint cars, very clean interiors except for the 02 PLated CDT which had a lot of Oily gunk on the Undertray and Oil misting around teh backs of the Headlamps.

The 05 Plated car had the cooling fan kicking in every 30 Seconds or so and still sold for £2250.

Cannot remember the exact mileages but all were between 65k and 112k The Seafrost Blue was 112k and I think it was the 05 plate that was 65k.

Is this the new place by Halfords and B&Q Carl?

Would be tempting if I was back "home".

Hiya,

Yes it is. I am really enjoying it, its only 3 days a week and up to 4 hours, but its something new to put on my CV to help me back in to full time work should I need to, plus I really do enjoy it, which is a massive bonus.

I also got to drive 2 Audi TT's tonight which I really didnt like, being 6ft 2in I felt a little out of place in them lol. Some very nice top spec motors too, like the VW Passat cc and teh Skoda Elegenace, both very beautiful cars and would be contenders to replace the 75 if it ever came to having to. I had never been to a Car auction before this job lol.

is that a problem then? Considering the very high temps at the moment (30c)??

Yes, The Cooling fan shouldnt kick in until temp regardless, or if teh Air Con is on. I had the Blowers on, but not on AIr Con / Auto setting. Also bear in mind I only drive teh car 100 Yards stopping only to have teh car auctioned.

I forgot what teh fault is now, but its mentioned on Forum somewhere.

Could be a faulty fan resistor if fitted with the later two speed fan.
