sony remote

i've removed the phillips radio and replaced it with a sony and fitted the autoleads adaptor pc99-x32 and pc99-son all connects up good but the steering wheel buttons dont work, all worked before switching am i missing something?

I had the same problem when i bought my 2004 75 changed OEM unit to a Sony got adaptor and right patch lead (in fact tried two different ones) never got steering wheel controls to work tho they worked fine with OEM unit.

can any one shed any light on this matter please 'cos i'm lazy and getting fed up leaning over to turn the volume up!!!
