WARNING Highline owners & all others
Check your spare wheel well for water after all this recent heavy rain and wind!!!
I today found a little bit had got under the seal onto the boot floor, but underneath there was a puddle in the wheel well. Thankfully the radio wasn't sitting in water, but some of the cable was. A replacement tuner will cost upwards of £50, mine is a BM24 so probably £100+. I knew my seal wasn't perfect as it has let a very very small amount of water under before, despite me having sealed the seal with sealant to the lip, but had been dry for many many months, possibly as much as a year and 3 months. So go check yours first thing in the morning, especially if you have Highline!! Could save you may £££££! |

Very good advice! I retro fitted mine but as I have a space saver they sit nicely on top of the wheel until I seal the rear lights.
A small drill hole has been a saviour with the rain we had in the last few days. |
