Default Water leak ....

Today when i checked for the water level ... I saw this (see photo) ...
For bad luck i tried to move the screw with a gentle move and that was it....it just fell off
the rest of the screw is in the pipe...(Water level is ok)
Please any suggestions what to do? The plastic rest of the screw can damage the water pump ..or stuck in the cooling pipes of the engine?
There is a mechanic just 2 klm near my home ...is it safe to drive there ?(im going to close the hole with some tape and the upper part of the screw)

I know another club member to whom this happened. I seem to remember that the debris fell to the lowest point in the hose and stayed there.
I'm afraid that you'll need to buy a new bottom hose. I think it's fairly easy to replace so you can do it yourself, at home. Or persuade your mechanic to come to you. I wouldn't risk starting the engine.

What on earth possessed you to touch that?
It is totally superfluous and needs never be touched.

(I wouldn't worry if it is not leaking, just get another hose and replace it when convenient. Best a good quality hose with the right bend, and preferably one without this bleed screw.)

And, as they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!"

If it is leaking find a screw with the right thread and some sealing tape, if needed, and screw it in the thread.
The original screw it plastic, and I doubt it would be able to damage the water pump, as obviously it is pretty soft. Alternatively/in addition tighten something around the pipe. You can get silicone tape that binds unto itself and will seal almost any pipe.
