Default Biscuits; fish them out or let them sink? what a dilemma!

Its Friday, its mid afternoon and its brew time; so its biscuits at the ready; and in we go.

A fresh mug of char and a pack of Waitrose Rich Teas. I have dunked the first 9 Rich Teas without issue. They are in, held under for 2 seconds, then out, pause for the drip and into the mouth. Magic!

Then, its in, 2 seconds, out and....disaster. A catastrophic structural failure results in Rich Tea #10 fracturing across its centre line and half the biscuit falls backing to the dairy lee. Oh no! what now? Fish out or allow to sink, clearing the dipping zone to allow me to continue with Rich Tea #11?

The half biscuit in my hand is quickly popped into the mouth which free up both hands for a potential rescue attempt, I look into the Earl Grey to see the other half slowly roll over into a vertical plane.

We have all been here....you dip in to save the sinker only for it to disintegrate into mush, spoiling the tea and any further dunking. But wait....we might be able to save this one. This is a Waitrose Rich Tea remember.

What do we do folks...take a chance to fish him out and save the day and risk further disaster or let it sink and say goodbye to half of Rich Tea #10?

And Barack Aramalama Obama thought he had problems.

I hope Jules doesn't read this, I doubt he approves of (A) eating such large numbers, and (B) drowning perfectly good biscuits innit... lol..

Fished it out you have to with a hob nob as they suck up so much coffee there would be nothing left to drink

I am a 'fish it out' person. Even if the tea has just been made and I have to risk third degree burns to my fingers

I beg to differ. Those oblong skinny little things are the worst. The Rich Tea is a fine dunker under normal circumstances.

I do agree though, that it isn't without its weaknesses.
