Hi Steve
I moved this to the touring camping and caravan forum for a bit better coverage.

The van shouldn´t weigh it´s max when you go off in it. Would thing that it would be at least a couple of hundred kgs under the max. The max for the towbar is usually a long way under what it and the car will actually take. If the car is in good condition, I can´t see why not. Take it for a spin först and see how it behaves |

Hi Steve, I towed my Eccles with my 2.0 v6 with no problems, even up hill. Only issue I had was not being able to feel the van through the base of my seat, if that makes sense.

You have 200kg to spare, your van fully loaded weighs 1200,your car's max towing weight is 1400,so no problem at all
