Hi all - I need some help with Radio replacement -
Hi,
thanks for reading my thread. I want to replace my standard Rover radio (I have a Rover 75 1.8t 2003 standard model). I also have the cd deck. Cd's are not essential. I just want to be able to plug my phone in via aux or bluetooth to playback files stored on sd or Amazon Music. I was looking at something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stereo-Blue...oth++car+radio and https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CT24RO01-...QAAOSw8gVX88HL or I even considered something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7Inch-HD-...53.m1438.l2649 So I need Bluetooth - I have tried one of these Bluetooth fm transmitters and it just doesn't work well in the 75. I get some static regardless of the channel. Any advice would be appreciated. Andy |

You would expect an all in one unit to be ok but easy way to test it would be to have the radio tuned to a different station and see if the static remains with the unit plugged in and operating. If it does unplug it and see if it stops.

I'm trying to tune it into a channel that doesn't overlap with an actual radio station. I found something like 87.5 has a little crackle. But when I plug it in the crackle stops. But as soon as I start playing music the crackling starts again. Faint but annoying especially in some songs.

If I go with the kit I mentioned. Is it just a swap over? Or are there any modifications I would need to make?
And is it possible to use the CD changer with the new Bluetooth player? Thanks Andy |
