Default Matriculation In France

A question for French residents with RHD vehicles.

Normally in France to get a French registration, part of the (endless) process is to present a Certificate of Confomity from the manufacturer. In the case of a Rover/MG this is a trifle difficult.

What do we do????

Thanks for that Mike.

I've contacted them, and it's no more £££'s than BMW France or Mercedes France charge for the same service.
And with them you also have to present the car to a stealer to confirm VIN nos. etc, which costs another few bob!

TOP TIP! Your car will need 'European' headlights in order to be registered and to pass subsequent french MOTs (Controle Technique (CT) test) at 4 years old. I got my 'new' headlights very cheaply from an MGR dealer in Kent who regularly changed servicemen's cars from European headlights back to UK ones when they returned from being stationed in Germany or wherever. Find one of these ex-MGR dealers who used to do this and they might still have a pile stacked on a shelf out the back somewhere.
PS-I got mine from Barrets of Canterbury for £50.

Thanks for the tip commander.
I am going to leave the lights as is for now, as I have found that some CT stations don't care what is fitted as long as you have the dipped beam extended section masked.
