Default Hi Line with sat-nav - Gremlins

I see a few people have been having problems with the hi-line system so i thought i would mention the problem i had about a week ago, 1st noticed the radio on/off light was not lit, could switch radio on and off but light would not come on, next morning battery was flat so tried to do the correct sat-nav shut down procedure but i could not get the unit in the boot to power down,(causing it to drain battery) I just had to take a chance and disconnect sat nav unit without following procedure, I then disconnected battery and charged it up all afternoon, reconnected sat nav unit 1st, then secondly re-connected battery and everything has been ok ever since, no dampness in boot, plenums bone dry, and checked all the electrical connections in spare wheel well, so i have no idea what caused it to act this way.
regards bill.
