Garmin Nuvi 1690
Just thought I would post up a quick review, I bought the unit in the title for work recently as I was doing a last minute emergancy drive from london to Palma, spain in on of the work vans.
I paid £100 delivered for the unit with up to date maps ect, new from the bay of e. It is a high spec unit, that has the Nu-link service, (the unit basicaly has a mobile phone built in to it for data conection.) I was very impressed with it, accurate maps, the traffic info worked everywhere and saved me from sitting in a massive pile up on my way back. The unit has all the normal things like text to speech and route planning but also has things like google search which helps find stuff you may not have a postcode or address for. A unit I would reccommend without hesitation. Richard |
