Congratulations Mark, so where and when we meeting? If you need help give me the nod. Can I suggest either towards Swansea for the West Wales members or towards Cardiff for the Valley and Newport members!

what do you think about Swansea as a venue? out of the cf postcode for a change say mumbles or somewhere where other members can get to fairly easily i imagine mumbles would be a fair distance for say andrew the problem being we are now covering all of Wales so dont want some members to think a meet is to far to travel to open to suggestions really as your good-self normally plans these things

As stated, you now cover the whole of Wales. North and South, East and West...And the empty middle.........

Basically it is going to be difficult, with the road infrastructure - or lack of, to be able to keep all of the people happy all of the time.

I used to have an all Wales meet with a radio group, and we found that the best place for a meet was at Newtown. Not only does it give an almost equally longish drive for everybody but it was close enough to the border for the English members to attend as well.

Albeit we just had a conference room in a small hotel there, so I am not too sure of any attractions in the locale. Time to Google methinks....

Another possible venue we tried was Aberystwyth, but we found that we had fewer members from SE Wales attending so it was back to Newtown.

At both locations, however, we had a good turn-out of North & South Wales members.

Hope this gives some indication as to areas where we should be looking for to serve the Welsh members....

Another idea would be to alternate meets between North & South Wales.

Any location would be a logistical problem, increasingly a problem for you Mark, by distance. Saying that I organised a Welsh meet in Colwyn, North Wales inside of 2 weeks from my home, and that included venues, events, entertainment and accommodation for overseas members So it is not impossible

I'm certain that if you trawl through the list of Welsh members you will find members who would be willing to suss out local venues in their areas.

Myself & Phil have already offered our services - So that covers the SE & SW Wales Anybody from the North.................
