Sorry this article is behind a paywall & I cant find another source other than this Daily Express one. https://www.express.co.uk/life-style...e-restrictions So that's why Copart are extending all their sites for a mass car extinction

Isn't that "ageist"....
Just because "some" elderly drivers are "unsafe" is it OK to tar ALL drivers of some "nominal" age with the same brush? Last edited by AndyN01; 20th November 2021 at 13:06.. |

Quote:
Yeah Andy it's ridiculous, Now they are saying that they intend to end the premise of holding a driving licence and the freedom to drive as and when and where we wish by labelling over 60's as 'elderly drivers' who should have those freedoms curtailed as a 'cost to society'.

Given that it appears in the Mail and the Express I shouldn't think it will happen.

Panic not members, I am sure we over 60's will be given a private chauffeur each as part of a quad-lock.
With such vote winning ideas, I should be in politics! |

Saying this metaphorically touching my veneered steering wheel - I've been driving for some 62 years and have never had an accident (And that includes Naples and Athens in the rush hour).
