A/C Leak Drivers Side footwell
Hello folks,
Since I've owned my ZT, I've noticed a green residue on the sidewall of drivers side footwell. I've never really payed attention to what it was, as I believed it was left over residue from an old coolant leak, as the Matrix is around that area. However, as I got into my car the other day, I noticed a fresh drop of this green fluid on the footrest. I then wiped it up and noticed the colour looked highlighter yellow on the paper tissue. After posting on the Facebook groups, I have been informed that it's dye from the AC system, which would make sense as I have been using it lately. It's also not as cold as it was when purchasing the car. I bought a UV lamp to confirm this is indeed AC liquid, and it appears so. I cannot seem to find any Air Con diagrams online, or anything relating to the Ac system, so I can figure out where the lines are leaking. Would anyone have any idea where this leak could potentially be coming from? Photos can be viewed here: https://imgur.com/a/QCf4jEP |

Hello Adam,
The refrigerant pipes to the evaporator pass through the driver's footwell alongside the heater/AC unit. If you remove the trim panels you'll see. Simon
