Going back on the dyno
Car going back on the dyno, Now with the cold air feed sorted I would like to see if there is an improvement even if just a little will keep use up to date when it's going back in.

I'd be concerned where your new air feed takes in air, it's right I line of any water and road debris. Just a real concern I'd have Aldo. I never realised until I stripped off the bumper but the standard intake for the air cleaner is tucked up inside the offside wing so it's not drawing hot air

For what it's worth my last company made automotive air intake ducting, the car manufacturers try to draw intake air from an area of steady pressure, such as under a wing, or behind a headlamp, as that gave the best results overall, these positions also tended not to hydrolock the engines......

The picture is old, later I removed all the plastic above the clamp to have just the filter exposed. Not had a problem with water or other |

The whole filter assembly is certainly capable of supplying enough air. Only reason I modified mine was to get rid of sucking hot air from under the bonnet. |

I measured underbonnet temperatures in different places and various speeds and found that at round town speeds (sub 30 ish) the temp at the air inlet was similar to temp near the inlet manifold area, but if you are travelling at say 60 plus the temp at the air inlet was only a few degrees above the outside temp ,so I left the inlet as it was.
